Terry Kramer, HBG Head Gardener is experimenting with sunflowers on the coast to establish which sunflowers thrive in our foggy summer climate. The planting of different varieties of sunflowers in one patch at the Humboldt Botanical Garden is also meant to delight young visitors who can stroll in between the rows and be enveloped by happy sunflowers.
